Job Responsibilities of Laundry Attendent
A laundry attendant must be knowledgeable about washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens using a washing machine, ensuring that they are properly cleaned according to the hotel’s quality standards. After thoroughly washing the items, use a steam iron to press them. Sort them by item type and color, then go to the hotel guest room, knock on the door, and say “Laundry Service.”
Upon entering the room, make the bed, hang clothes, and store towels and blankets in the closet. That’s all a laundry attendant does. When working in a 5-star hotel, there’s no need to work as a housekeeper; simply focus on laundry attendant tasks, as job roles are separate in 5-star or 7-star hotels in Dubai or anywhere else in the UAE.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a laundry attendant may be required, depending on job availability. - Holding a formal laundry attendant training degree is optional.
- Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory.
- The candidate must also be punctual, hardworking, results-oriented, and dedicated to their job.
